Aug. 1, 1981: Joe Charles Stine, brother of Zodiac victim Paul Lee Stine, died in California at age 46. (Shortly after Paul's death in 1969, Joe had issued a public challenge to the Zodiac killer to meet him one-on-one for a physical confrontation.)
